Week 14! 2nd week in the MTC

I am doing fine at this time, the MTC is an ok experience but not the
best thing I will do on my mission. 

I met Elder Calios Brother while I was walking out of Lunch.  I saw his name tag. I told my two companions that I had to talk to him because who else would have that last name. I knew that he was going to Toronto but I didn’t know that he would be at the Provo MTC. 

That is cool that you gave a talk on Sunday.  Elder Stoddard of the Area Seventies told us at stake
conference a couple weeks back that we should stop giving Talks about other talks which I will probably listen to during and after my mission. 

The one Talk that did get to me from General Conference was from Larry Y. Wilson of the Seventy talking about the Holy Spirit being your guide. He basically talked about how when we Pray we should act on getting those answers rather than waiting for it which is something I am doing now. 

My days at the MTC are pretty boring as I know the basics of going on a mission. I don’t feel like I fit in at all. I do get along with my companions very well however and I wish the best for both of them as they go to Dallas. The only bad thing is I have to wake up 4 am when I leave to the airport next week.

Week 13! 1st week in MTC!

Hi mom, good to hear from you again. My first week at the MTC has been
pretty boring. I haven’t learned a lot of new information since I’ve
arrived which makes the whole experience seem pointless and
unnecessary. I am not that happy to be here where everyone else is
learning and I’m not. I am in a Trio right now and both are from Utah
(not surprised). One is Elder Bishop and the other is Elder Yates and
they are both 18 years old. 

I believe I’ll be going to Dallas on May1st which is good to know. Pierce sounds like he is having a good time
and maybe he will get married soon but I doubt that will happen for a while. That is cool that you went to Sedona again, it is definitely a fun place to visit from time to time. I also got an email from Jason Slade a couple weeks ago about him being the new bishop.  I never got an answer why Bishop Peterson was released early, I will like to know
sometime in the future. 

Anyways I hope the next week goes well for you all and I will talk to you later.

Week 12!!

Hello Mom, how was your week. My last week here is doing pretty well. We had Stake Conference on the weekend and Elder Stoddard from the Seventy came by to talk. I don't think I have laughed as hard as I did at any Stake Conference I have been to.

 I am still not too excited about the MTC And I hope it goes by fast or its going to feel like a lifetime before I get out. I honestly wouldn't care if my plane got delayed by a couple hours,  haha. 

Anyways I did get the duffle bag and thanks for reminding me about the Deodorant inside of it or I would have forgotten all about it. I did take a pair of Jeans with me and I'll probably end up getting another pair sometime during the mission. As far as the coat goes I will do my best to find one for either my suit or something else. Also I can only bring two suitcases on the plane but I'm sure I will be allowed to bring two carry on Bags. I don't know for sure because I am flying on Delta Airlines. I haven't gotten anything from the Mission President yet but there could be something in the upcoming weeks. I am getting a ride to the airport on Wednesday Morning from the Assistants of the Mission President. I think I have to stay over at the place they live in and will probably have to wake up around 5 in the morning. I'll send you a picture of my flight plans soon. Anyways I will take pictures when I can and hopefully a picture of where JFK was assassinated whenever I have time in Dallas. Hopefully I am not fed too much in Texas but I guess everything is bigger there so I'll have to watch what I eat. Anyways I hope to talk to you soon.

Hey Mom, I am at the MTC Now just to let you know. It is ok, but I will see what will happen in the future.  My P-day is Tuesday.

Week 11!!

Conference was good, I enjoyed all of the Revelations that were announced especially about a Temple being opened up in Russia. Now I have an actual excuse to learn the Russian Language after my mission other than Travel.

Also we did go to a members house for lunch on Easter which was fun and another members house for dinner.
