Oct 22,2018 New town..., new comp!

Oct 22,2018

Hey mom, I've been pretty good. Not too much is new other than Transfers. The only big thing this last Week was Elder Holland speaking to us which I'll send out to a couple emails at the same time.

My companion is Elder Gordon and he is from Roosevelt, Utah. He has been out for 15 months now which is cool. I believe the address is 301 N Greenville Ave building O apt 159 Allen, TX 75002. Not sure if you need to add the Building O part or not. We don't share the apartment with other Elders but there is a set of them somewhere in the apartment complex. The Ward in Allen is pretty good. They have a Football stadium for a High School that costs 65 million to build. I just don't understand why it even exists but hopefully we can get an investigator to come to a game with us.

I haven't bought a bike, I am using the one that is left here in the area. It's a Schwinn bike which works pretty well, but I do prefer Mountain bikes over them. I haven't bought a phone yet, I'll have to look around and see if I can get one pretty cheap around here. If you did send me one of my old phones I think everything would have to be deleted off of it which I would hate to do. We have a couple investigators but not too many. We have to cover 3 wards here which is 7 hours of church at the moment. We have one progressing investigator in each ward, hopefully more in the future. Riding a Bike is fine I guess, you get to talk to more people riding on a bike than driving a car. The one thing Allen does have in the area is a Krispy Kreme and as soon as my mission card gets refunded I'm buying a dozen. It will go away as long as I'm constantly riding a bike every single day. Maybe I'll lose some weight on my upper body, but not on my lower because that Will probably gain some muscle if I take care of it.

I am getting well with Elder Gordon, I am doing the best I can to learn how to get along with other people. He is the Third Elder I've been with who have been in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. Based on my experience with all three so far they kind of want to live with their old mission rules rather than the ones here. Really wish it wasn't that way. They are good at teaching the people, but they should be more obedient as well.

I checked the Address and it looks fine. I saw an address for the Apartment on a box sent to one of the previous Elders that didn't have Building O on it so it may or may not be fine to have it on there. If anything it will be sent back to Arizona for not having the correct address. Normally I would say that its ok to send it to the mission home, because the Zone Leaders would have to pick up packages and other things, but we won't have a Zone Conference this Transfer because of the Mission Conference and the Zone Leaders gave up their car this Transfer to some Sister Missionaries, not sure why. Its not too bad over here, the weather is pretty calm right now.

Elder McMullan and Elder Gordon.  I got this in a text the first day he was in Allen Texas!
