3 baptism dates!

 Monday June 10, 2019

My week has been alright, and the weather has been ok. We have 3 baptismal dates set up which is good. One of them I have not met yet so hopefully we will get another appointment set up with him. We also have a family who has a Baptismal date for July 13th that was found by some members. This member family is really missionary minded and has gotten a couple other of their friends interested in the church. I am excited to see who else will start investigating the church in the future. We also had exchanges this week where I went up to Minden and got to see the Church building the Church is renting. They have a really cool baptismal font there and I hope we can do a Baptism font there. Anyways I hope you all have a great week and I'll talk to you again soon.

Also I have been thinking about extending my mission through First Presidency approval while reading my scriptures this week. I came across Alma 29:6-7 which says 6 Now, seeing that I know these things, why should I desire more than to perform the work to which I have been called?
7 Why should I desire that I were an angel, that I could speak unto all the ends of the earth?
I thought about that for a couple minutes before continuing my studies. Why do I want to serve longer than I have left? I guess that answer came in verses 13-16
13 Yea, and that same God did establish his church among them; yea, and that same God hath called me by a holy calling, to preach the word unto this people, and hath given me much success, in the which my joy is full.
14 But I do not joy in my own success alone, but my joy is more full because of the success of my brethren, who have been up to the land of Nephi.
15 Behold, they have labored exceedingly, and have brought forth much fruit; and how great shall be their reward!
16 Now, when I think of the success of these my brethren my soul is carried away, even to the separation of it from the body, as it were, so great is my joy.

I guess my joy is really happy in doing Missionary work and I really want to be out here longer than I have left. I'm hitting my 17 month mark on Saturday so I am not looking forward to ending my mission in 7 months from now.
