Getting a new comp!

 Monday Aug 5, 2019

Hey everyone, This week has been pretty crazy. First of all we went on exchanges for the last time with Elder Myers and Pacheco. I love these two great Men and I wish the very best to them. Elder Pacheco and I went to visit the Yarbroughs on Thursday. How was it you ask? Well... it was alright. A bunch of members were there bearing their testimonies on how the Gospel has blessed their life along with a couple conversion stories. The stake president brought us down there and we were able to meet with another Couple there, Emily and Ron again. They haven't investigated the church yet but it was good to talk with them. Trent Yarbrough wasn't sure if he wanted to be baptized because he hasn't studied it out enough for him at least. However we met with them again on Sunday and talked with them about the Future. There Trent told us he was having a hard time a week prior but he knew that the church was true and wanted to be baptized. I'm pretty glad to see this and they even asked if they can be baptized as a family! This is exciting and they plan to be baptized at the end of this month or September 7th for the Zone Baptism. This may be perhaps the first Baptismal Ordinance I'll ever perform in my life so I'm really excited.

We also have a Stake Conference coming up on August 24th and 25th. Bishop Causse is coming and he wants to meet with the Yarbroughs potentially. This will be an amazing opportunity for them to meet a General Authority right before they are baptized. Other than that this week has been filled with a lot of good things. We had a couple solid appointments with people and we are hoping that people come through and see the blessings of the Gospel in their life. There is so many people here that are waiting to hear about the Restored Gospel. Even those who block us still like us, well I guess thats not true. We have another Baptism coming up in Coushatta on August 17th. Now the thing is she is 8 and we tried to get her baptized sooner so the Branch would be in charge with it. However her mom wanted to push it back on the 17th which is 3 days after her 9th Birthday. I guess thats a Convert Baptism so what ya gonna do? Kind of a weird situation but I'm sure it'll all work out. Also I am staying in Stonewall for another round so that is exciting. Elder Neilson is going to Frisco which is my old area which is awesome. Elder Peabody is coming over here so that will be good. I also had Popeyes for the first time in Louisiana so that was a life changer. Anyways I hope y'all are doing well and I'll talk to you again soon.
