Hey, my week has been alright how about yours? Not a whole lot happened this week other than Transfers. Elder Brooks is my new companion and is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is a pretty hard worker and has been out for 5 months now. We are getting along pretty well and had some interesting stuff happen this week.
That's good that Alyssa got married. So I guess they'll have to wait until 2020 to be sealed then. I am still not a huge fan of calling home, in fact I felt like Missionaries got too caught up this last week for having the chance to call home. I'm trying to keep myself on track and avoid distractions. That doesn't mean that I'm perfect though, for example I'm trying to get that one Sister Missionary from the MTC out of my head but it has been coming back a lot recently. Maybe God wants me to remember her but I don't know what the purpose of it is right now.
Sorry that the package never came in the mail. I think it might be set up now but its probably best to send it to the Mission Office. We have Zone Conference on Thursday so its possible I could get it then. The letters come in pretty easily so its up to you. I know what I want for my Birthday though, the Infinity Gauntlet. Haha just kidding.
So we had an interesting week. On Wednesday we went over to the Perez Family who is the Family of 10. She wanted to postpone the lessons but I felt like we needed to go over there that day. When we got over someone was sitting in a lawn chair outside of the house and told us we couldn't be there. We asked what happened and she said a Fire burned the inside of the house. At that very moment I gave Reda a call and asked what happened. She was crying over the phone and said this took place on Monday and that they lost everything. After that I called the Elders Quorum First Counselor and told him what happened. He got in contact with the Relief Society President and asked me to give her the phone number for Reda. Within 24 hours of that Phone call the Frisco 7th Ward got together and helped out in an amazing way. We were told on Thursday that we would be giving some goods to the Perez Family that night. We went to their one room Hotel room that they were staying in and they were amazed at how the Lord Blessed them. Reda was more excited about the cookies that were given to her because she said they were made with Love. They came to church on Sunday and the Ward really got to know them and love them.
We also had a Lady call us on Thursday afternoon asking us what time church started which shocked us. We told her and their family of 5 came to church. In total we had 15 people come to Church on Sunday which is awesome. They both seemed to enjoy Church and I'm excited to get to know them all better. I'm excited to see what other Miracles will happen this next Transfer, perhaps Baptisms? Anyways Hope you all have a good week and I'll talk to you again soon.
