So first things first, we had Stake Conference this week with Gérald Caussé who is the presiding bishop of the church. He is a really great speaker and I enjoyed the insights we got from him. He talked about his life in the church living in Southern France and people he has met since he has been called as a General Authority. Lets just say his talk was flat out awesome! There was also a nonmember that spoke with a powerful Testimony of how she found the Book of Mormon to be True. This family actually lives right next door to the Yarbrough Family which are super awesome. The Yarbrough Family has a Baptism on Saturday so we are super excited about that.
We also had a really good Zone Conference this week with some of the best trainings out there. All of these trainings were really good but Sister Dalton went over the Word of Wisdom with us and had a discussion what was good and what was bad. Bi-flavored water was one of those where some products contained tea in it. Well I had something to say about that and here is how it went, basically.
Me: So about that Bi-flavored Water, there was a nonmember about two weeks ago that gave us some Coconut Water and I looked at the ingredients and it said White Tea Extract and when she asked if I drank it yet I said not yet but then I drank some right there. So should I repent now or later?
Everyone Laughs
President Dalton: You should Repent
Sister Dalton: We will have a talk later Elder.
Ok maybe it didn't happen exactly like that but all in all it was an amazing Zone Conference. We even had someone wear Elder Suttons Nametag again which was pretty funny. After Zone Conference we were going to leave when someone that we car pooled with left the keys in the car and it was locked. Now this was a Chevrolet Malibu and it should not have happened but for some odd reason it did! We had to wait about an hour before someone was able to unlock the car for us. Well it's a good thing that there will be new Toyota Rav 4 Hybrids coming in. It will probably be the closest thing I can drive to a Tesla at this point.
Other than that there wasn't a whole lot that happened this past week. We are still planning on the Yarbroughs to be Baptized this next week so I am really excited for that. We went to the Adult Stake Conference on Saturday and asked President Dalton again about asking for permission to get the Yarbroughs Interviewed on Sunday. I apologized that it happens all the time and he said, "That's ok, that's ok they're going to be baptized." Probably my favorite quote I'll ever have so that is why it's this weeks subject line. Also I had the Impossible Whopper Today so that was weird. It tasted like meat but not really. I guess I'll end there. I hope you all have a great week and I'll talk to you again soon!
Crushed house
