I am doing well, thanks for asking. Louisiana is pretty cool, although the Prices for everything are pretty expensive here but I'll have to deal with it.
I had Crawfish back on Memorial Day so I don't know when will be the next time I will get some. I haven't had a ton of Cajun food here mainly because of our new dinner schedule but maybe that will change one of these days. We only go to either the Stonewall Ward or the Coushatta Branch on Sunday. We want to try to work in Coushatta more than we do to boost up the work. We do have a car and yes it is humid usually but it also rains quite a bit which makes it nice. We do ride bikes sometimes to the Library but I just popped my back tire and I'm not sure where a good bike shop is in Shreveport.
We did get in touch with someone we are teaching because of that so that was awesome. He wants to be baptized but he is still waiting for that confirmation that the Book of Mormon is true. We asked him to look at Mormon chapter 8 and 9 to see when the Book of Mormon would come forth and to ask God about that.
I also finished the Book of Mormon again this past week. I honestly enjoy reading from the 1830 edition better than the modern versions. Did you know that in Ether 13:31 the word Restrain in the current copies of the Book of Mormon is Constrain in the original? I figured that out while I was comparing the two together.
We did quite a bit of door knocking on Friday since we didn't have any appointments that night. In fact we knocked about 115 doors that night where some people were already outside to talk to. We may have a couple of good people especially one person named Jay who said he wasn't super religious to us. We asked if there would be anyone we could pray for but he said not at the moment. While we continued knocking doors he got back to us and asked to pray for him and his family because his mom passed away back in 2005 so we testified how families can be together after this life. We gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon and invited him to read from it when he can. He said he would.
That was pretty much our week and we hope to stay in touch with these people this next week. Also I am the Designated driver and my companion is Elder Nielson. He is pretty quiet and slow so hopefully he'll be able to keep up with the work.
