Family of 10, fire alarms and an answered prayer!

 Monday Feb 4, 2019

Hey, I am doing alright. This week didn't bring a whole lot of success to the area. Elder Bingham is a good missionary but he can be better. I want to try to help him be more social and open to knocking doors on the street. While it isn't the most effective thing in the whole world it does get the word out.

We did get to meet with the Mom of the Family of 10 this last week and taught her the Plan of Salvation. Invited her to church but she didn't come unfortunately. We will try setting up a Church Tour this week, hopefully Saturday as long as her Husband isn't working. Apparently he just started working on Saturdays a lot more.

I haven't been able to contact Elder Calio or Elder Harris since I last saw them but I am in contact with Elder Twitchell almost every week or so.

I guess I went on exchanges this week which was pretty good. There is a great work in store for this area and I know it needs it more than anything. I usually stop my bike to talk with people to share them the Gospel of Jesus Christ as much as possible. Sunday wasn't super productive of Missionary work. I guess some kid pulled the Fire Alarm at the Church though which was kind of funny. We had about one hour left in the day and I felt Discouraged about most of the week not being as effective as I wanted to be. I felt impressed that it would be best to say a prayer asking Heavenly Father to speak to one person about Jesus Christ that very night. About one minute after I said that prayer a Lady Drove up and told us she lives in the same apartment building as us. We gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to read it. She is such a sweet lady and I have a strong feeling that she can learn a lot from the Gospel. Whether or not this will go well I am glad to have my prayer answered that quickly. The next time we meet with her I'll ask what prompted her to drive up to the area we were in at that exact time.

I'm also looking for ways to help Part Member families come together in One faith. We met with one Part Member family yesterday where the Husband is not a member. Didn't get to learn a whole lot from him but hopefully we will stay in contact with him and help him learn about the Gospel since he has been going to church for nearly 20 years now. Anyways that is all I really have for this week. That is weird to see two people getting married only a couple weeks from each other. Not sure I like that. Anyways hope you all have a great week and I'll talk to you again soon.
