Happy belated birtday Elder!!

 Monday March 4, 2019

Hey, my birthday was alright. We had about 7 hours of church and two dinners which was good. No one at church knew it was my Birthday so I was kind of glad about that. The package you sent just came in today at the mission office. I will try to get a hold of it some way or another. I did get Grandma's card and I am glad that I did.

Zone Conference went pretty well, I enjoy every single one of them. It's fun to learn some new stuff at Zone Conference. Had some Hot Sauce from one of the Elders this week. It pretty much burned my mouth and made my lips red.

The Perez Family is doing pretty well. I went on exchanges with one of the Spanish Elders and he invited them to be baptized. Of course we don't have a set date for them yet but it will come eventually. They are looking for a new place and may be moving to Mckinney. I am hoping it's still in the area but who knows where that will be. They didn't come to church Sunday but the Cleveland Family did. They enjoyed it a lot just as they did last time. Apparently the Wife googled everything about us and even went into some Ex-Mormon stuff. None of the stuff that she went into really phased her which is awesome. She grew up Episcopalian and her husband grew up Southern Baptist. I guess the Wife's family may be against her joining the church but the Husbands not so much which is cool. He was a recovering Alcoholic and went Atheist for a little bit and said the weirdest thing he heard about Mormons is that they are the nicest people ever. They are basically dry members at this point. The wife is already reading from the Book of Mormon and enjoys General Conference Talks. I'm excited to see this family progress and we'll try to set up a Baptismal date this month. Other than that we are looking for more people.

I know there is a lot of people with potential in this area and I hope to meet them while I am here. Sad to hear that Brother Walker passed away. I got an email last night about one of the Walker's Funeral and I was a little upset about it. Hope Sister Walker is doing ok. I may call home someday but I am not making any plans. I feel like the mission is turning into a college lifestyle rather than an actual mission. Not a huge fan of all the changes going on but whatever I still want to serve the Lord. Anyways I hope you all have a great week and I'll talk to you again soon. We also need an S for the Canes 100,000 giveaway if you have one.
