The Yarbrough's baptism!

 Monday Sept 2, 2019

We are doing pretty good, Yes the Baptism did happen on Saturday which was awesome. It's the first time I have done a Baptismal Ordinance so it meant a lot to me. From what we heard from the Stake President that after the Yarbrough and the Permenter family left meeting Bishop Causse he said something to the Stake President. He said that those two families are special and that after they are Baptized they will face opposition but that they would be able to withstand it. That opposition actually came on Wednesday when we met with the Yarbroughs before their baptism. Trent had a lot of questions and wasn't sure if he wanted to be baptized. However after testifying to him about this being the only and true way he said that he wanted to go ahead with the Baptism. His truck has been broken down for the last 3 weeks but it finally got fixed on Friday. It was a miracle and it helped them out so much. We are very glad to see them take this next step into their life.

I did talk with Elder Peabody a little bit about spending money and we are looking at budgeting right now. We'll check to see how much money we have in the month and make sure we are only buying food within our budget range. We don't have any big plans for Labor day. We will probably just play some Basketball at the Stake Center. We only eat at Members houses about 3 times a month with the new dinner schedule. It stinks a little bit but I don't complain about it. We work out a little bit but not too much. We did meet with a member this week who had a lot of really cool replicas coming from the Book of Mormon. The Sword of Laban has actual gold on the handle and costed $90,000 to make because it was made by a master sword maker in Spain. The weather is doing pretty good in Louisiana so I can't complain much about that.
