Zone Conference , Elder Zwick and the Cadillac Clucker

 Monday Sept 30, 2019

Hey Everyone, Hope you are all having a great week. Where do I even start on what happened during this past week. I guess we will start at the Beginning of events. We went to one of our Investigators house this week that told us she was having Anxiety from reading the Book of Mormon. It was kind of sad to hear because she was fed a lot of bad stuff when she was younger by her Mom. We did everything we could to help her out but she unfortunately did not want to read the Book of Mormon at this time but just the Bible. We had a similar case happen with someone who is not a member yet who bore her Testimony at the most Recent Stake Conference. In fact we met with that family this week as well but I will get on to that in a bit. We also sat down with another Family this week who sound so prepared to receive the Gospel. They agreed with everything that the Restoration talked about and we plan on meeting with them again on Tuesday. One of the big things they liked about our church is that we had members minister to one another. It was something that they wanted to have and we said we'll bring a member the next time we come over.

One of the best things that happened this Past week was Zone Conference. However it was a little far, in fact about 170 miles away from where we live. It was about a 7 hour round trip to go there and back with of course a 7 hour Conference. It filled our entire day but it was super Spiritual. The best part about it was that President Daltons own Mission President came to speak. His Mission President was Elder Zwick and his wife was there to speak with us as well. They are so awesome and he used to be a Seventy. A bunch of Missionaries believe that President Dalton will be a Seventy one day. I can definitely see that in the future. Some of the Highlights coming from that Conference is of course seeing a Young President John Cranmer Dalton V in a picture at the Mission home in Santiago, Chile. We were also asked to describe both President and Sister Dalton by one word from Elder Zwick. I had to Say Consecrated for President Dalton and Sweet for Sister Dalton of course. Elder Zwick told us that President Dalton was the Most Consecrated Missionary because he Married someone that is similar to his own spouse. It's not like I am doing the same thing or anything đŸ˜‰. Elder Peabody and I also got a picture with Elder Zwick after the Conference. I was in a Conversation with Elder Zwick afterwards telling him how Pierce (my older brother) and I both had Mission Presidents with the last name Dalton and how my Cousin who was married had Sister Elaine Dalton come to his sealing. I was telling him at this point that one of our family members are going to be married to someone with the last name Dalton. He then asked me, "Doesn't President Dalton have an Older Daughter?" I was laughing about that but told him I love the Daltons but I'm not sure how I would handle having President and Sister Dalton as my Parent in Laws. I love the Dalton Family and will definitely stay in touch with them after the mission but I don't need to go down that route. Also if President Dalton or Sister Dalton somehow get a Copy of this email don't destroy me please.

Anyways after Zone Conference we hit up Buc-ees Gas Station once again. We were talking with the Cashier and she had a couple questions about the church based off an Animated Video she saw about the Church (Probably the Godmakers). Anyways we cleared that all up and she seemed to take it well. We gave her a card and Invited her to check out the Website. Hopefully she will get in touch with some missionaries over in Terrell soon. We also just had to pass through Tyler Texas on the way back from Zone Conference. If you haven't figured it out from the Title of this weekly yet we went to a Restaurant called Stanley's BBQ Pit and I got the Cadillac Clucker. That Sandwich was amazing and it has added Bacon and Guacomole from the original sandwich called the MotherClucker. It was worth every penny and next time I'll have to get Ribs because they are supposedly some of the Best Ribs in Texas.

Other than that we met with Jamie McLamb this week who was someone who has been investigating for a while. He wants to know the Direction he should take so in the next couple of weeks we will do everything we can to get him to read from the Book of Mormon and find that Answer he is looking for. Another thing that happened this week is we met with the Permenter Family this week... well kind of. We started the New Member lessons with the Yarboughs this week and they sat in during it. Emily Permenter bore her testimony back at Stake Conference and it has been a matter of waiting until her Husband Ron is interested. Luckily we are going to have the whole Ward pray for them so hopefully he will soften his heart and investigate the church soon. They are such an amazing Family and they have been to church consistently. On Sunday Carlee and Courtney Yarbrough actually gave talks and they were awesome. By far the best part is when Carlee said, "I'm not sure if I should be saying this but my Parents have not fought since they have been baptized." Just more evidence that the Gospel brings families closer together. Anyways I hope you all have a great week and I'll talk to you again soon!
