Monday Sept 23, 2019
This week has flown by pretty fast. There was a lot of great things that happened especially on Tuesday night. So on Monday Elder Williams called us and told us that our Car had to be traded out since it was sitting at over 54,000 miles on the Odometer. This can only mean that a New car was coming over to Shreveport and man is it awesome. I am pleased to announce that we now have a 2019 TOYOTA RAV4 HYBRID!!! This Car is SICK. I have been driving this since Tuesday Night and I can't even think of how lucky we are to drive this vehicle. Of course what makes it better right now is that the TIWI box in our car is not working. You know the little box that checks our speed and if we get any Aggressive Driving? Yeah that thing. We drove it about an hour with it on and it continually said to Check Your Seatbelt over and over again about every 10 seconds. It was annoying but luckily we are Free from it until this Wednesday at Zone Conference. It has a couple really cool features on the car including the Eco Score. I didn't realize how much it felt like a video game until I got attached to it. The mission needs to have an Eco Score Leaderboard put up with all the Rav4 Hybrids. Sad to see the 2016 Toyota Corolla go but I'm excited to be driving this car for the next 6 weeks.
Other than that our week has been filled with following the mission plan by going to every PMF and Unknown Member around to see if we can find the Family that Family that is prepared to be Baptized. We found one family this week that may be interested in our message. They have been to different religions before but aren't attending a church at the moment. They realized that they need to start going to church soon so I hope we will get them interested in the Restored Gospel. We have also talked with our Elders Quorum President about another Family that lives on their street. You know, the Permenter family that lives way south of our Apartment right by the Yarbroughs. They have been to church 5 times already and the Mom even bore her testimony at Stake Conference. I really hope I'll see this family Baptized for White Christmas. They are so prepared for the Gospel. We are thinking about doing the New Member Lessons with the Yarbroughs this week while the Permenters are there. You know, teach them without actually teaching them. I hope it goes well. We also contacted a Potential who seems pretty interested in meeting with us so hopefully there will be something about that next week. I guess that is all I can really think about what happened this week. I will talk to you all again soon!
