Happy 1 Year!!

 Monday January 14, 2019

You can say that the year mark is exciting, but it just gets faster from there. Not looking forward to that. Anyways life in Frisco is pretty alright. It seems pretty similar to Allen probably because of the environment that I'm in is the same.

We did have a couple of good things happen this week though. Elder Bingham just finished training so he is about to hit 4 months into his mission and I think he wants to be out here. I am happy when missionaries want to work as much as they can for Jesus Christ and not for themselves. He is from Hailey, Idaho which I guess he is in the middle of the state by Sun Valley I believe? We are getting along pretty well, hopefully I can be with a missionary for more than one transfer again. We cover three wards and yesterday was the first time I had 2 hour church or at least for us 5 hour church. I really enjoyed having seven hours of church last year but I guess I can live with having two hours less this time.

We have a couple of people that we got to meet with this week. One guy used to be a pastor in the past and his Wife's granmother was a member. Apparently she used to go to church in the past so she might be a unbaptized youth. I feel like Frisco is going to contain a lot of Part member families here and I really think two of them need to be pushed a little bit. One of them has been coming to church repeatedly over a couple of years and won't join the church because of a Hindu Tradition he has to do with his parents twice a year. He is committed to come to church every single week though so I really want to work with him and explain that you will have eternal happiness if you accept the Gospel in your life. There is also another person who has attended church for the past 20 years but can't sit down and read the Book of Mormon. Honestly I want to push a couple of these people to do more than what they are doing. Stop doing this waiting game, its just a waste of time.

I am still on Bike which I guess is a good thing. There are a lot more hills in Frisco than there were in Allen so I am pushing it hard here. I can't believe you are destroying the house at this very moment. It's almost like nothing is going to look the same after my mission if that even happens. I will send a Happy Birthday message to Jackson.

I've been thinking about the blessings you can receive from joining the church. Some of the things the Missionaries didn't teach a lot with a part member family is the blessings of having the priesthood in a home and Family History that can be done for his family.

Anyways hope you are having a good week and I'll talk to you soon.

The first pic was one was with the Zone last Monday. The second one is Elder Anderson and Elder Sutton who took a selfie when they were doing a Device Audit at District Meeting. They are the Assistants to the President.
